Alright...I'm not sure details are best in some of our memories, but let's just start with a few small ones..."Yes, two more..." (said while holding 2 fingers up)..."See I can walk the line...", running downstairs as fast as we could when someone arrived at the house, St. George, Wendover trips, walks around the neighborhood, our Almond Joy favorite--(Dark on the outside, creamy in the middle), trips to Cafe Rio, coldstone (no more though :(), and really, any day of the few places we live together...man I miss those times. :)
Too many memories! Frontier Pies (need I say more), driving around in my VW van listening to "she's got the look", staying up all night for 3 days straight at my condo in Heber over spring break, going to stake dances, and on and on and on.
Ok, holy cow, how do you summarize 19 years of friendship in one blog comment...I'll try my best! When we were 12 we were almost always together talking about the boys in our ward. The ones we thought were cute and the shitzu's (I mean the dogs), we would sneak into the movies at Cottonwood Mall, (and sometimes we were really cool and took the UTA bus from 5600 S to the Cottonwood Mall ; ) We went to Brighton and ward girl's camps, Young Women's and had lots of sleepovers. We played volleyball together in High School and hung out a lot. You came with Jesse to visit me at Snow and we had a "rollin'" good time. You were my bridesmaid in my wedding looking beautiful in the periwinkle dress! You were always there for me to listen to my stories, my highs and lows without judging me. We've laughed so hard I've cried and peed my pants way too many times to count. We've traveled to many places including, CA (Sunnyvale, LA, San Diego, Santa Barbara), Las Vegas, Wendover, D.C., Baltimore, Virginia, and Jamaica. We've gone to many a concert together: Tim McGraw, Vanilla Ice, and American Idol to name a few. We've lunched/dined, girl's night outed and talked for hours and hours and hours on the phone. We've recently played volleyball together and that's been a blast!
One of my favorie times that I laughed so hard my stomach hurt and my cheeks got charlie horses was when we were in Anaheim and we had been to Sea World the day before and thought we'd go relax in the hot tub. When we got out there, there were things that looked like poop floating in the water and you said, "I don't think I want to go into the Shamu water now." Holy crap, that struck me so funny I was laughing days later whenever I'd think about it. We've had long talks over Ben & Jerry's (and ate the whole thing in one sitting). I think you might know more about me than anyone else. I even have to call you when I'm writing about me for things!
Thanks for this little trip down memory lane...now go to my blog and do the same! ; ) Love you!!!
Ah most of my memories involve our fun trips. Chicago, the homeless cheesecake guy. You telling me "never do that again" when I was being too silly.
The cruise, hanging out with those guys 1 of which looked like a monchichi (sp?), dancing in the little teenage club, doing silly poses all over the ship, eating at Carlos and Charlies...
Also I loved all the movies we went to together on friday nights. We need to see more together.
You are so fun!
I remember that we would come over to your house a lot after school and we always thought it would be fun to make cookies. It seems to me that we would tend to burn them because we always got talking and would totally forget that we had a batch in the oven. I remember many walks around the block, there were so many cute boys that you lived by :)
I have a lot of memories of you Becca. But my favorite is pretty recent. It was helping you in the kitchen at Jenn's wedding. Everything that happened was so fun!!!
Okay. I'm going to add this one. And, really, it made me laugh as I was reading your alaska post...regarding the ATV girl. My concern is that perhaps she wasn't all there, Becca...and maybe it wasn't her fault. This takes me back to a Halloween back in Draper...on Buckshot Cove. Just short of revealing too much about you to your readers...I'll simply remind you--chubby girl, princess dress.
I remember sleeping over at your house one time (when I was inlove with your brother- Hi Dave!) and trying to get your older brother to say he was pretty while he was sleeping, and of course naming all the cute boys (in the hood) ice cream flavors. and wishing your mom and my dad could hook up and we could be sisters. Your still great, I'm so glad you found me :)
My memories of you are from so long ago they're more like flashes. Like you standing in the lunch room in a green polo shirt trying to get Jesse to go to class, hanging out in your front yard on a hot summer night, trying so hard to get Bart & Nicole to get together :), going to Nicole's condo, magazining people that we didn't like or that we had a crush on, etc. You were always so much fun & so easy to talk to! We totally need to get together again!
